It's not clear who will be the Browns' quarterback in 2021, but what is clear is that they need a receiver who can make plays in a number of different circumstances. Like I mentioned last week, Ridder is a winner, having won 33 of his last 36 games while leading the Bearcats -- a mid-major football program, from a "lesser" conference -- into the college football playoffs. Ridder is an ascending talent with dual-threat ability who seems to elevate his play against top competition. Should he and his Bearcat offense prove to be the deciding factor in an upset of favored Alabama, Ridder's stock may soar into a top 10 selection on April 28th. The 2021 NFL season has two weeks left and it's time for another 2022 NFL mock draft.

The final draft order is far from settled, but we're starting to get a handle on teams at the top. At the same time, major college football is near the end of bowl season and set to play its much-anticipated latest four-team playoff. The Lions finally won a game by besting the Vikings this past weekend. However, at the end of the day, Detroit is still a woefully under-skilled team bereft of talented players.

Detroit is not a quarterback away from competing in the playoffs, so choosing a signal caller for a team in the midst of an entire overall would be wasteful and ill-timed. The Lions have a successful, playoff-tested quarterback directing their team , so drafting a true primary receiver could provide immediate help. Burks showcases the size, strength and speed to be a match up nightmare for most defensive backs. Jadeveon Clowney is an unrestricted free agent heading into the 2022 off-season, but more importantly, several key players will be free agents the following year.

Jackson has an explosive first step and plays with leverage along the edge of the line. Raw but athletic, he projects incredible upside with little downside to his game. The fact that the Saints re-signed Jameis Winston to just a one-year deal entering the 2021 season indicates how unsure the decision makers were of his long term viability as their franchise quarterback. It's possible New Orleans re-signs Winston for another season, however, if a first round caliber signal caller is available the Saints may not hesitate to take him.

Born and raised in North Carolina (Indian Trail, N.C.), Howell has competed at the University of North Carolina, amassing over ten thousand passing yards and a combined total of 110 touchdowns. The Panthers are unstable at the quarterback position, sometimes playing adrift and directionless like a rudderless boat. They need someone like Howell, a strong armed quarterback with competent athleticism, whose potential can be tapped by the right organization. He has the frame to line up as a defensive end in a four-down front and would likely be a first-round pick in a draft class that was not littered with elite pass rushers.

The Jets would be lucky to get their hands on Enagbare at this point in the second round. Georgia boasts arguably the best defense in college football. The Jets would be wise to target one of their best players on that side of the ball and Dean fills a need at linebacker. He just posted a career-high 8.5 tackles for loss as a junior and is an athletic inside linebacker who is adept at making plays from sideline to sideline.

Mosley, who is more of a thumper, as a new-age inside linebacker that plays well in space. An ideal boundary cornerback, Stingley's prototypical size (6-1, 190 pounds) and rare blend of athleticism with elite football I.Q., make him a top five draft prospect. A former receiver himself (six career touchdown receptions at Dunham H.S ), Stingley's enhanced ability to track passes makes him difficult to beat in coverage. Karlaftis -- who was born in Athens, Greece -- is the "Greek Freak" of college football.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Boilermaker showed a lot of promise as an underclassman and is now maximizing his full potential as a true junior, as evidenced by his 90.1 pass-rush grade this season. Kyle Hamilton might be the pound-for-pound best football player in college football. His ability to play sideline to sideline against the pass and also being a formidable run defender makes him the best safety prospect coming out of college football in the past decade. The Jets take Hamilton with this pick and continue to add talented pieces to their defense. Now, Dallas needs to put the finishing touches on its secondary to create the best NFL defense. Ahmad Gardner plays with physicality and it's part of the reason why he dominated at Cincinnati for so many years.

There are few pass-catchers in college better at separating from defensive backs and creating a window for quarterbacks to target than Wilson. The Jags are in a position to select the best defensive player available, and that's still Thibodeaux despite an early-season ankle injury. Minnesota's pass rush, particularly from its edge position, is unproductive and in disarray, due in part to Danielle Hunter's season ending injury and Everson Griffen's mental health issues. Griffen is an unrestricted free agent who'll be 34 next season and considering his mental health concerns probably has played his final games for the Vikings organization. The backups at the edge positions are not making enough of an impact, so, Minnesota may target Karlaftis, an intense and aggressive pass rusher with strong run stuffing ability.

To be quite honest, I don't recall the last time a team had so much firepower at the top of the draft. If the Eagles aren't sold on Jalen Hurts, they could get even more capital from him via trade and use one of their first-round picks on a quarterback next season. They could also potentially grab a few blue-chip players that you could build a football team around. "No matter who is at quarterback for the rest of the season and beyond, the Saints' lack of receiving weapons has been glaring without Thomas," Tice said. Thibodeaux's collegiate career numbers (126 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, 19 sacks) and explosive athleticism make him an easy top-three prospect. Jacksonville's defensive identity is nondescript, so drafting a game-changing talent like Thibodeaux provides sizzle.

If the Jags' coaching hire proves to be competent, there is enough burgeoning talent in Jacksonville to challenge for a playoff spot next season. Other than quarterback in Pittsburgh, there isn't a bigger need for a team right now than wide receiver is for New Orleans, and Burks answers the bell here. This likely won't be a popular pick because the Eagles have used first-rounders on wide receivers the last two years, but they'll only have four wideouts under contract after the season, and that includes J.J. Wilson is one of the the most dynamic players in college football.

With prototypical size (6-foot-5) and a lightning-quick first step off the snap, Walker just needs NFL coaching to become an eight-plus sack player at the next level. After playing only one game in 2020, Ojabo erupted for an 11-sack season this year with five forced fumbles.

This could just be a hint of what he is able to accomplish as this athlete becomes an even better football player. Safety isn't the most pressing need for the New York Giants, but there isn't an edge rusher worth taking at this spot in our NFL mock draft. But at 6-foot-4, a player who earned a spot on Bruce Feldman's 2021 college football freaks list and draws immense praise for his work ethic, Karlaftis can be a top-5 pick. For the Texans, who will likely emphasize specific qualities and draft based on value, Karlaftis fits. Hamilton exudes top five NFL talent, yet because of his position and the various needs of teams drafting before the Eagles, he may be a player who drops out of the top 10. Should he fall into Philadelphia's lap, the Eagles will immediately select this uniquely skilled and athletically gifted competitor from Notre Dame.

Hamilton has uncommon size for a safety (6-foot-4, 219 pounds), and exceptional athleticism buoyed with an explosive fluidity. From 1965 to 2014, the draft was held at various venues throughout New York City. Imagine how memorable and possibly magical it would have been, if both New York football franchises were to have picks four through seven being called in the Big Apple at next year's draft.

Should this drafting order subsist, the Giants would have the fifth and sixth slots and be able to significantly enhance the team's talent and quality depth. Lloyd is a leader and arguably the most complete inside linebacker in this draft class. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, he is an excellent blend of athleticism and discipline. The 20-year-old prospect played through a balky ankle this season yet remains college football's best edge-rusher. According to Pro Football Focus' Anthony Treash, Thibodeaux posted pass-rushing grades of 90 or better in three of the four contests he'd played heading into last weekend.

This early in the football season — college or NFL — any 2022 NFL mock draft scenario is primarily going to serve as a way to look at where prospects are ranked. Olave wins with speed, hands, ball skills, routes, and elusiveness after the catch. He's a shiny new toy for Mac Jones and New England's offense. As we approach the back half of the 2021 college football season, a clearer picture of where players should be selected has started to form.

With that in mind, this iteration of our 2022 NFL Mock Draft takes into account all the most recent movements and top-notch play from all draft-eligible athletes. Neal continues to impress, helping Alabama rush for 301 yards against Cincinnati in the College Football Playoff semifinal last week. Despite his enormous frame (6-foot-7, 350 pounds), Neal's natural athleticism enhances his ability to play either tackle position and dominate. A downhill blocker with balanced footwork, his nimble movements neutralize speed and power rushers alike.

Without question, Neal is an instant plug and play starter at the next level. A year after drafting Jevon Holland, one of the 10 most valuable rookies in the NFL, the Dolphins get their second safety here in Brisker. Brisker would have been considered the best safety in college football had it not been for Kyle Hamilton and the splash plays he made earlier in the season. His 0.33 wins above average were seventh at the position in 2021. Generating 0.48 wins above average in 2021, Williams emerged as the best skill position player in an offense that is now favored to take home the College Football Playoff Championship. The Raiders' need at wide receiver stems largely from what happened with their 2020 draft pick, Henry Ruggs III, who was released during the 2021 season.

Pro Football Focus' latest mock draft has New York missing out on the top two pass rushers in this year's draft, Oregon's Kayvon Thibodeaux and Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson. With those two off the board, the Jets use their first-rounders to land two impact players in the secondary. It will be interesting to see just how high Karlaftis can climb this draft season, but what is already apparent is just how talented of a prospect he is.

The Jags could add do-it-all safety Kyle Hamilton to their secondary or strengthen the offensive line with left tackle Evan Beal. But Kayvon Thibodeaux offers upside this franchise can't pass on at a real position of need. The Lions' lack of receiver talent has been apparent, but there are plenty of prospects in the draft. London excels at football and basketball at 6-foot-5 and is off to an incredible start with 832 yards in his first six games. With the NFL and college football seasons nearing the two-month mark, the 2022 NFL Draft picture is becoming clearer.
