For the first four films, this is a franchise about car racing and big chase sequences, with those elements mixing into fairly standard crime thriller plots. In Fast Five, however, the franchise takes a hard right turn into the heist movie genre, with only one car chase. And Fast & Furious 6 is much closer to a James Bond movie than anything else, with the characters having to take down a villain who could destroy the world. The franchise always prominently features cars, and the solution to every problem is always "more cars," but these aren't "car movies" anymore. The vehicular cast is this time joined by an enormous army tank and a jet airplane that keeps charging down a runway for takeoff for what seems like seven or eight minutes, but no matter; if it stays on the ground, the F&F crew can deal with it.
Again, The Rock and Justin Lin help to keep this franchise buoyant. The acting performances by Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, and Chris Bridges are laughable at times and aren't much better from the rest of the cast especially Michelle Rodriguez but the action scenes help keep this score afloat. The script suffers from what I call "Bad Boys 2 syndrome" whereas the story could wrap up with a little more editing and completion, but chooses to continue on for another minutes instead. Still a vast improvement over the middle installments of the series. The studio will likely continue to buy up the best promising original action movie scripts that they find, changing the characters to match those from this franchise and releasing F&F films.

Owen Shaw is one of the series best villains, the highway tank scene is amazing, and the story arc of Letty with amnesia has solid heart to it. The movie really only suffers because while it has a great villain in Shaw, great set pieces, and a great amnesia story arc for Letty, the next film would do every one of those things better, so in comparison it doesn't stand out as much. It's still a ton of fun, and wildly creative in only the way Fast can be. Filming began on July 30, 2012, in London, England, and Shepperton Studios in Surrey.
The production were given only two minutes every hour to shut down the area for filming. Dialog is standard, at times even silly and predictable, characters are flat, performances are decent.
The car chases and night scenes got me so involved, I actually felt a bit strange leaving the theater and coming out into the real world's broad daylight. And the post-credits scene is simply, a treat which makes the next installment in the series worth looking forward to. Suffice it to say that in the end, the movie drifts full circle. But with Fast & Furious 6, things have gone back to normal -- which is to say, awfully dumb. The parkade explosion Shaw lures Dom's team into combined on-set pillars that could be detonated alongside dust mines which could be used as a reference for the digital artists to create the appearance of the structure sinking into itself. The scene was shot over a three-mile stretch of highway in Tenerife lined with holiday resorts that had to be digitally removed to create a desolate appearance. The segment's finale that sees Roman leap to a nearby car and the tank flip was created digitally. The movie's plot is full of such silly dialogs so its best ignored in the current context.
What works is the action - Lin and his crew bring us some of the most ridiculously outrageous and boldly conceived action sequences. There's an intense chase through London in the initial reels and also a race later on. There's a whole plane take-off-crash sequence towards the end that you've probably got a glimpse of in the trailers.
The girls are no slouches either and we see an intense hand-to-hand fight of sorts between Michelle Rodriguez's Letty and Gina Carano's Riley. A fast paced, adrenalin rush, Fast & Furious 6, took the franchise to a new level of action. While the plot is hard to believe, the characters are sincere and beloved by legions of "F&F" fans. They want to see Brian O'Conner and Mia Toretto live happily ever after with their newborn baby, and they badly want Dom to win back his long-lost love.
The relationship between Han and Gisele also continues to develop, and Roman and Tej (Chris "Ludacris" Bridges), bring laughs to the screen. They're one big family, and if you've been with the "F&F" franchise since the beginning, you probably feel like you're a part of it. The opening credits highlight important scenes from all the past movies, showing how much the characters have grown. The "Fast & Furious" franchise has become one of the most successful series in Hollywood because each film gives fans exactly what they want. Though there are plenty of computer-assisted visual effects throughout the series, the franchise attempts to actually perform as many stunts as it can.

Dom and the others return to his old family home in Los Angeles, where Dom and his crew have a gathering to share a meal.
Hobbs and Elena arrive to confirm the crew's freedom; Elena accepts that Dom loves Letty. After departing from the overt street racing theme of previous installments in Fast Five, development of Fast & Furious 6 continues this, featuring spy and adventure elements, in the hopes to increase the series' audience. Preparation for the film began in April 2011, with Diesel and Lin returning that June.
Filming had also officially started in both the United Kingdom and Germany in the year 2012 on July 30 and ended production on December 17. In the aftermath, Dominic and his team return to the United States. Hobbs and Elena arrive to confirm the crew are free; Elena accepts Dominic has chosen Letty over her. The crew sit down for lunch together with Roman saying grace, paying respects to lost crew members like Gisele and Vince, the return of Letty and of course, fast cars. The original series hero, Brian was a cop going undercover as a street racer to bust Dom and his crew of hijackers. When it came time to make the arrest, Brian chose to let Dom get away, and the two have been like brothers ever since. Paul Walker died in an automobile accident in 2013, but rather than kill him off, the films wrote Brian into peaceful retirement.
He was last seen in the closing moments of "Furious 7" literally riding off into the sunset. Okay, it's not Marvel levels of deep, but the MCU has decades of comic books propping it up. And from the fourth Furious movie on, the story of the franchise has been one story, which slowly builds on previously established character relationships and plot twists. Before the fourth film, this is basically the Halloween franchise — three films, where the third has essentially no connection to the first two other than genre.
With the fourth, though, the films accidentally become, thanks to the addition of Han to the main cast, a shared universe, where all of the characters are involved in one another's adventures — and they get there a few years before Marvel would. Along the way, they also make a stop in "the bad guys are good guys now!" territory, straight out of the Terminator movies. The first film is basically a small-scale character drama with some car chases thrown in here and there. Director Justin Lin knows how to push the right buttons on a high-octane action film.

And from what I've read after seeing the film, Number 6 has a new twist instead of the "same-old" to offer. Number 5 added a heist a la Oceans Eleven to the proceedings to freshen it up a bit. On the other hand, it's a movie - so when the hero is grappling with the villain on the plane, the film can cut from the fight to what is going on outside on the runway.

In a majority of these new or previously unfinished scenes, Walker's two surviving brothers serve as body doubles. And while most close-ups are intentionally blurred by movement during action sequences, we look directly into the eyes of a computer-generated Walker in the final, reverent scene.
Walker laughs as he pulls up beside Vin Diesel for one last ride, then splits off at a fork in the road. Paired with the original song "See You Again," the moment is transcendent, one of the most moving and integrated tributes in movie history. Since Dom and Brian's heist in Rio left them and their crew very rich people, they've scattered across the globe; however, they must still live as fugitives, unable to return home to their families.
